Eating and buying food from out of home settings like restaurants, cafés, kiosks and local supermarkets and shops has become a large part of our everyday lives. The above data is a snapshot of our local out of home eating trends (source). With so much of our eating done out of home the industry has an important role to play to improve our nutrition and health.

We are committed to supporting the community and out of home settings with evidence-based practice to improve their offering. Our support comes in the form of portion size, cooking methods, promotions, default serving options, availability and menu design to name a few. Our work with settings and businesses will look to ensure it is a collaborative, pragmatic and sustainable approach. Engagement with all stakeholders is important to enable our community to make healthy eating the norm for everyone.

We have recently created some blogs using App based food selection methods.
