The Daily Mile is a national campaign encouraging a mile a day! We have got some great walks for you to try in Guernsey, which are all a mile, so you know how far you're walking!

______________

There are 16 Walk This Way signs around St Peter Port and St Sampson and a further 6 walks around the reservoir and 3 around Vazon, showing the distance, time and number of steps taken to and from certain locations.

All walks can be found on these maps:

St Peter Port and St Sampson

Vazon

Reservoir

St Pierre Park

The walks around the reservoir include St Saviour’s Church, the Fleur du Jardin Hotel and Driftwood Inn and are all 30 minutes or less. We hope some of these walks inspire you to get out and enjoy Guernsey’s lanes, plus keeping active. We know regular walking is linked to cutting down on stress, increased productivity and can help with getting a better night’s sleep.

There are many more beautiful lanes to explore around the island, use the Ruettes Tranquilles guide or app to discover a whole network of quiet lanes that give priority to pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. Read more about walking in Guernsey here.  Visit Guernsey also have a great selection of walks, where you can pick the time you'd like to spend and the level of intensity of your walk.

Watch out for our #GetOutThere on social media! Please share and like our posts and inspire others by sharing your experiences of adding a short walk to your day.

We're very grateful to the Co-op Helping Hands Fund which sponsored the initial signboards and Digimap who created the interactive map.
