The Commission is part of a local multi–agency approach to engaging with young people on their territory and on their terms, especially those who don’t usually access structured services. Outreach Teams include Action for Children, The Guernsey Sports Commission, and The Youth Commission working together to support young people’s self-esteem and well-being including support with drug and alcohol concerns. Providing signposting, advice or just a chat, outreach work is also done at community events such as Guernsey’s Summer Shows, Liberation Day and Alderney Week as well as being embedded in regular provisions like the Sports Commission free ‘Street Sports’ and the local youth centres.
