The Commission partners with the States of Guernsey and funds the multi-agency services for young people which is provided by Action for Children, within the Guernsey Youth Housing Project. The Service is for young people up to the age of 25 who are often in crisis and ensures that those who access the Project and have drug or alcohol issues are supported to overcome them. Support workers focus on building positive, trusting relationships with young people, deliver screening, brief- and more intensive interventions for substance use alongside giving support for fundamental issues around housing, employment and self-esteem.
