#GetOutThere initiative is launched

We've launched our #GetOutThere campaign! 

Building on the positive local feelings about getting out and active which we've seen during the last few months, #GetOutThere aims to maintain this momentum and inspire people to keep physical activity as part of their daily routines as we create our new normal.

Alun Williams, Be Active lead commented:

#GetOutThere is designed to be a positive, uplifting, inclusive campaign. #GetOutThere messages will be promoted across social media. We often underestimate one very simple form of exercise…walking.  With sponsorship from the Co-op Helping Hand Fund, we have installed 18 signs around St Peter Port which will show people the distance, time and number of steps it would take to walk to destinations in the town centre. Hopefully people can include these in their commute, working day or leisure time.
