Smoke-Free Pregnancy Incentive Scheme
A new Smoke‑Free Pregnancy Incentive Scheme is now available to support you and your baby’s health.
Delivered by Quitline, it includes free stop‑smoking support, regular carbon monoxide breath checks, and voucher incentives designed to help you stay smoke‑free during pregnancy. Up to £400 of vouchers for local retailers is available.
The Commission are grateful to the Social Investment Fund for supporting this pilot scheme.
What the scheme offers
One‑to‑one support from Quitline advisers
Voucher rewards at key stages (e.g. enrolment, 4‑week quit, at delivery, postpartum)
Quick carbon monoxide breath checks to track your progress
Friendly, non‑judgemental help throughout your journey
Who can join the scheme?
- you can take part if: you are pregnant
- you smoke or have smoked recently, and
- you would like support to become smoke‑free.
The scheme is free and open to all pregnant smokers in Guernsey and Alderney.
How it works
1. Sign up via Quitline or your midwife
2. Attend short check‑ins with a Quitline adviser
3. Receive vouchers as you reach smoke‑free milestones
4. Get ongoing encouragement, even if things don’t go perfectly
