The UK Chief Medical Officers’ low-risk drinking guidelines recommend that both men and women drink no more than 14 units per week. This is approximately 6 pints of medium strength beer, 7 double measures of spirits or 6 medium glasses of wine. These should be spread across three or more days, with at least two alcohol-free days each week.
Understanding how much you drink is the first step towards making informed choices about your health.
