Being active is important for everyone and we are aiming to make being active more accessible to all members of our community, including older adults.
As we age being active is important to help maintain quality of life and overall wellbeing. Below are a couple of resources to help older adult settings provide fun ways for their members to be active.
Activity pack
Our activity pack provides fun ideas for settings to help their members to be active. Settings can adapt the games to best suit their members and setting. The activity pack can be found at the bottom of this page under Resources.
Virtual Cycling
We have filmed various local cycling routes to give those unable to cycle out and about the opportunity to experience the thrill of cycling various local routes and some from further afield from the safety and comfort of their own chair. Using stationary pedals users can cycle and follow the route virtually on a screen by clicking on the routes below to watch the videos.
