The Guernsey Cliffline Project aims to enable more people to enjoy being active along Guernsey’s south coast cliffs and to experience the physical and mental wellbeing benefits of spending time being active and outdoors.
By clearly identifying the main walking route and providing practical information on distance, elevation, facilities and points of interest, the project supports people to choose walks that suit their needs and abilities. Knowing what to expect helps build confidence, making it easier to explore the cliffs whether independently, with friends or on a family walk.
The Cliffline runs from the Bathing Pools to Pleinmont. An online map and downloadable leaflet show the full route which is divided into six sections. You can download these from our resources section below.

The first section, from the Bathing Pools to Jerbourg, is supported by a series of small waymarker posts at key junctions along the cliff path, helping walkers stay on track. The posts are numbered, providing simple reference points that can also be used by groups, schools and organisations for activities such as guided walks, litter picks and educational projects. Look out for upcoming opportunities!

The project supports delivery across several local strategies, including the Active 8 Plan, the Healthier Weight Strategy, the Strategy for Nature, the Tourism Strategy and the Government Work Plan. For more information, please contact the Be Active team.
The project has been made possible by kind donations from the Saffery Rotary Walk, CMC Wellbeing and Visit Guernsey, and support from Digimap, Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Services and Guernsey Planning and Building Control.
