Island Games Physical Activity Legacy Grant Launched

Building on the 2023 Guernsey Island Games aspiration to “inspire islanders to ignite active lifestyles” we are excited to launch our Physical Activity Legacy Grant scheme. Small grants are available to support grass roots local organisations, clubs, or groups to develop, extend or expand a physical activity offer that will help adults to be more active, more often.

If you or your organisation has been inspired by the Island Games, and you have a great idea for how you can help to enable more people, to be more active, more often then follow the links below for the application form and eligibility criteria.

To discuss applications or ideas, please contact Sam Green, Adult Physical Activity Officer on Sam.Green@healthimprovement.gg

Sam explains, “Our grant scheme will support small organisations or groups who require assistance to expand or develop a new physical activity offering that will help adults to be more active, more often by giving these groups the opportunity to apply for a grant in the region of around £400-£1,000 with most projects expected to be in the region of £400-£750. By supporting these projects, more islanders will be given the opportunity to be physically active and experience the health and wellbeing benefits physical activity can bring.”
