Designated drivers crowned local heroes by the Health Improvement Commission

This Christmas, the Health Improvement Commission are running a Drink Drive campaign which focuses on the kindness of designated drivers using the tag line “A good Guern takes a turn”, the campaign encourages people to plan getting a lift with a friend (a “lift legend”), instead of driving themselves.

We’re really pleased to be shining a light on designated drivers this Christmas and New Year. We are keen to bring positive messaging to the serious topic of drink driving. Having a designated driver is a wonderful way to make sure we get home safely, and we’d like to say a big thank you to all the ‘lift legends’ keeping the whole community safe. Thank you to all those supporting our campaign by displaying the posters and sharing the social media posts.
