Coronavirus: In-dependence services update

Please see below for an update from In-dependence on their Service Provision from 25th March 2020.

In light of the advice from Public Health and with the exception of the needle exchange service, Independence have transitioned our services online or via telephone.

As the needle exchange is an essential service, please be reassured we continue to provide this, opening times are:

Monday 3:30pm – 6pm

Tuesday 9am – 12 noon

Wednesday 5pm – 7pm

Friday 9am -10am

We will be operating a strict one in one out policy and will be providing enough equipment for a period of one month. If you have symptoms please do not attend and instead make use of the peer exchange option.

All other services, assessment, recovery work, and counselling are now being provided using telephone or secure video sessions. Where possible we would ask that all new referrals are made using our web self-referral link (scroll to the bottom of the page) or via email. Please bear with us while we adjust to a very different way of working.

We encourage you to get and stay connected with a thriving recovery community via the SMART online groups.
