Since joining the Commission in May 2022, Megan Seward has been busy in her role as Adult Physical Activity Officer in the Be Active team.
She has:
Worked with Ramblers Wellbeing Walks to promote walking for health
Set up 'Walking Bumps' with the Maternity Team at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital
Set up 'Access to Dance', a low-impact, fun and welcoming zumba-style class with a local instructor
Ran a successful free activity morning at KGV, bringing together local exercise professionals to offer free 30 minute taster sessions, supporting individuals to try something new and be more active
She is:
Working with Sylvans Sports Club to promote the use of their community space for exercise
Working on an 'Active Spectators' campaign
Developing a 'Swap your Shoes' initiative for corporates in order to support staff health & wellbeing though activity levels
